An online lecture and Q&A for students with Lisa Wade

                                              

 

Lisa Wade, a sociologist, essayist, and author, will discuss the new culture of sex on college campuses. Well-known for her wide-ranging, critique and commentary, she appears frequently in print and on radio and has delivered lectures at over 100 colleges and universities. Her newest book, American Hookup: The New Culture of Sex on Campus, is the definitive account of the sexual culture that dominates higher education. In this talk, she will introduce the premise of her book, briefly discuss her research methods, and elaborate on the emotional landscape of hookup culture. She'll close by posing some questions regarding how hookup culture might change as a result of the shared experience of the COVID-19 pandemic.
