Laboratory Manual for Earth Science • Available Fall 2021
Laboratory Manual for Earth Science engages students with Earth science concepts through an ideal balance of hands-on activities, quantitative calculations, data collection and analysis, map-based exercises, and critical thinking questions. Unique, “What Do You Think” prompts and “Geotours” Google Earth exercises bring students’ lab work into the real world.
Nearly all the exercises in the manual are available in online versions as a mixture of multiple-choice and short-answer questions that can be accessed directly through the campus LMS. This makes the manual an ideal resource for online or hybrid lab courses.
An enhanced reading experience at a fraction of the cost of the print version. Students can take notes, bookmark, search, highlight, and print exercise worksheets. Instructors can add notes for students, and the ebook syncs across devices and can be read offline.
Authored by Jessica Olney; includes the lab solutions and notes on how to effectively run exercises, including suggestions for alternative ways to run certain exercises.
Self-graded Pre-Class Preparation Exercises; Google Earth links for the Geotours exercises; and links to animations and videos can all be easily integrated into your LMS.
