An AI syllabus statement can do more than set a boundary; it can open a conversation. In this webinar, Derek Bruff will help us explore how to write and use AI statements that invite students into learning, rather than simply drawing a line and moving on. We'll look at the use of teaching practices like transparency statements and process tracking that let students show their thinking, not just their final product. And we'll consider how to co-design a course AI policy with students in the first place. Participants will leave with language and strategies for turning a first-day-of-class policy into an ongoing conversation with students about how and why they're using AI.
