“Ask an Anthropologist: Primate Gender Roles?”

Hosted by Agustín Fuentes and Karen Strier on March 18th, 2025

Join primatologists Karen Strier and Agustín Fuentes for a lively conversation about the surprisingly complex roles of males and females in primates. Strier and Fuentes will discuss what their own research has uncovered about masculinity, female agency, what sex roles in our closest cousins might mean for us, and whether or not primates have "gender."

We welcome both instructors and students to attend this free event and to bring their own questions as there will be time for an audience Q&A.
