Stephanie Insley Hershinow is Associate Professor of English at Baruch College, CUNY, where she specializes in eighteenth-century British literature, the history and theory of the novel, experimental literature, and literary theory. She has held a postdoc with the Rutgers University Center for Cultural Analysis and fellowships from the Rotary Foundation and the Fulbright Program. In the summer of 2016, she participated in the NEH summer seminar “Post-secular Studies and the Rise of the English Novel, 1719-1897.” Her book, Born Yesterday: Inexperience and the Early Novel, was published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2019, with a paperback in 2020.
