Join Lisa McGirr, co-author of the acclaimed Give Me Liberty!: An American History, for a talk about women’s participation in conservative and rightwing movements across the 20th century. The 30-minute talk followed by a live Q&A will examine women’s deployment of gendered and family ideals to justify their entry into public view, trace the evolution of their ideas, and explore the regional and religious dynamics that motivated women’s participation in these movements.
