The Little Seagull Handbook is available in an MLA Update Edition for use in Fall 2022 courses. This means you will need a new ISBN to order for your Fall course. The ebook, now automatically included with all new copies of the Fourth Edition, includes MLA updates now.
Available now, Everyone’s an Author (MLA Update Third Edition), “They Say / I Say” (Fifth Edition), and Let’s Talk all have the new MLA Style in student print and digital copies.
Available for Fall 2022 courses, The Norton Field Guide to Writing’s new Sixth Edition will include the new MLA Style in all instructor and student copies.
Please be sure to confirm with your local Norton representative that you are using the most up-to-date ISBN.
If you use Back to the Lake,The Norton Sampler, The Norton Reader (Full or Shorter Edition), Reading the World, or The Seagull Book of Essays, the optional booklet supplement, The Norton Guide to MLA Style: 2021 Update, can be packaged with your Norton book at no extra cost. There is also an interactive ebook version of the update booklet available for all students as well. You will need a new ISBN if you want to assign the print package with the booklet.

The MLA activity in InQuizitive has been updated to reflect the changes to MLA style.
Revised MLA quizzes are available as a separate file that you can upload into your course—you will not need to re-upload the full package. The update files are located on the Norton website's instructor resources page for each book.
